I'm Rolf Versluis. I'm an engineer in Alpharetta. My son Grant is a software developer in Chattanooga. We build Hermes AI (artificial intelligence) agents for owner-operators of small businesses.
A Hermes agent runs locally on a Mac Studio, a Linux box, or a VPS (virtual private server) you rent by the month. Your data stays on your hardware. The agent connects to the tools you already use through MCPs (Model Context Protocol adapters, small add-ons that give the agent access to specific software like QuickBooks, HubSpot, or your CRM).

Farm camera
A four-stage pipeline watching a farm in Chatsworth, GA. Reolink camera on motion, YOLO (a small object-detection model) gate, vision model, Telegram alert. Open source. MIT-licensed. Production since 2026.
Chicken store
A complete e-commerce site. Medusa (an open-source e-commerce platform) backend, Next.js storefront, Stripe payments, scheduled pickup days. Built end-to-end by a Hermes agent over a few months.
Audiobook pipeline
Chapter to finished video. Faster-whisper transcription, voice cloning, Ken Burns (slow zoom and pan) scenes, ASS (Advanced SubStation Alpha) caption burn-in. Production tooling, with scripts.
Who this is for
You run a business with 2 to 50 people. You have one piece of work that eats your week. A report, a follow-up, an inbox, a piece of recurring work. You have tried to fix it with a SaaS (software as a service) tool and it didn't quite fit. You are willing to run a small Linux box or a Mac Mini in your office.
This is not for everyone. If your problem is best solved by an off-the-shelf SaaS, we will tell you that on the call and refund the $99.

Why we are different
Most consulting firms want to put a person at your desk. We want to leave a piece of software that does the work. We do not sell hours. We sell outcomes.
We will not promise the agent will replace your staff. We will not build a custom model. We will not take an engagement where the data is too sensitive to leave your hardware and you do not have hardware to run the agent on.
